Doc Beavers

Doc Beavers, 58, died April 25, 2002 at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Survivors include his wife Susan, three daughtersMoriah, Jennifer and Hortencia, his son, Christiopher and a brother and two grandchildren.
Doc Beavers was a corpsman on the Biddle from 1976 - 1979.

Robert "Bobby" Depew

Robert "Bobby" Depew, 57, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2002 in Pensacola, Florida after battling cancer for more than a year.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Vicky, his daughter Heather and his mother Agnes.
Bobby was a Biddle Plankowner and made the 1968 cruise to the Tonkin Gulf.

LT Joseph Ervin, USN

U.S. Navy Lt. Clarence Joseph Ervin, 35, of Chesapeake, Virginia, died March 8, 2002, at sea while serving his country.
Survivors include his wife, Philippa Quinn Ervin of Chesapeake; two sons, Edward and Henry Ervin of Chesapeake; his parents, Thomas and Betty Ervin of Norfolk; two brothers, Michael and Lee Ervin both of Norfolk; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Joe Ervin was an Operations Specialist on the Biddle from 1989 - 1993

Warren Edward Gramley Jr.

Warren E. Gramley Jr., 45, died May 13, 2000. "Grumpy" Gramley was onboard Biddle from 81-86 where he obtained the rank of STGCS (SW). Grumpy passed away from heart disease.
He is interred at Alington National Cemetary

John D. McCracken

GMC McCracken passed away 6 July, 2002. He was buried with honors at Arlington National Cementary on July 30, 2002
