Comments: Hey Ken!!! Happy Christmas and Merry New Year!!! Here with Tom Culotta and we were talking about old times on the Biddle. Got some cruise books out and then got on line to see your web-site! Excellent web-site!! I was on the ship from '84 to '85 in 1st division, then F2 as a sonar technician from '85 to '87! I talk to Steve Holland all of the time. Remember standing Quarterdeck watch all those times? It's great to see the Biddle on the web!! Keep up the good work and drop me a note!

Comments: Ken, a very fine website dedicated to a great old ship. I miss her. My fondest Navy memories are of my tour in Biddle (April 1981-Dec 1982), working for Captains Hollis Robertson and Al Gomez. Two Med's and Black Sea ops, to include the Gulf of Sidra shootdown and the PLO evacuation of Lebanon with a fine crew and wardroom.

Comments: Ken!!!!! How are ya?! Remember me? I was on board Biddle from 1984 to 1989 (STG1). Great to hear from some former shipmates and all those who share in the history of the ship. I was fortunate to be there during three full Med-cruises, including Lebanon & Libya. It may have been after you left, but we (Brian, J.D., Matt) started a ship's band called "New Threat" in 1987 or so. Played during steel beach events, refeulings and port visits. If anyone remembers us, write a note. It was a blast! I have heard that Biddle was mothballed in Philly. Anyone know for sure? Keep up the great work on the web-page. I'm proud of you, brother! T-

Comments: I was just looking for Biddle on a whim and here I am. Sorry to here the "Cruiser from Hell" is out of service. Many would remember me as a heavy drinking OSSN who used to write a little paper entitled "Shakespear Slams" which would feature parodies of the lives of crewmmembers. What most people would find hard to believe is that I am now a Born-Again Christian who is an experienced, liscenced, electrician in NC, a deacon in my church, a volunteer with PROMISE KEEPERS, a husband and father, and somebody who deeply regrets not taking his tour seriously (see, Borelli, it only took me 8 years). Now sometimes I enjoy a glass of port with a fine hand-rolled cuban cigar and and long to be back on the old "Hard Charger" with the sense of responsibility I have now. Wish I could redo the whole term but its in the past and I regret my misdeeds. But the future is bright and the Lord forgives. GO NAVY!
