On the photo pages, each thumbnail will open a larger picture in another window. Each "picture window" must be closed before clicking on another photo or else it will load up in the background only. This feature may not work properly on some versions of Internet Explorer.
Pictures sent in by former Biddle Sailors:
- Ken Ely, the original Biddle Webmaster, took numerous pictures of life on board the Biddle.
- Brent Lundgren's pictures of the engineering spaces.
- Bill Scullion's excellent collection of snapshots from 1983 - 1986.
- Tony Joyner's shots of, among other things, the Biddle in drydock when she lost her rudder in the middle of the Gulf War.
- Brian Bennett spent three years taking many, many pictures. These are but a few.
- John Kratz,(STGSN, 77-81) has two pages of rare photos of the Biddle's torpedo arsenal, Russian ships and numerous slice of life shots.
- Captain Maylon T. Scott, Biddle's first CO has sent in this small part of his large photo collection.
- Michael A. Daugherty, served in the OD01 Department as a DS from 1985 - 1989. These are some of his pictures from his two deployments.
- Ken Payne, Jr. served as an FTG from 1978 - 1981 and sends us pictures of missiles, guns and helos.
- Mike Penston (1976 - 1977) sends us these rare shots of life in Engineering.
- Fred Jamison CTO2(SW) (1987 - 1990) sends us a beautiful missile shot and some slice of life pictures.
- Plankowner Dave Huffer (SM3, 1966-1968) posts a nice gorup of shots from the Signal Bridge.
- James "Tea" Maratea (BT3, 1977-1980) and Orie Summers (FN, 1977-1980), send us these pictures from the fireroom
- Dave Wiltrout (BM2, 1981-1984), has some nice Sea and Anchor Detail pictures from Naples.
Robert Daniel (AX1, 1972) gives us some shots from the Brownshoe Navy that will bring back some memories - Beards and Machine Guns.

The ideal photos are scanned in at 150 dpi. This is as good as any screen will show and makes them much smaller and of a uniform size.
Each picture should be in jpeg format with a brief (15 words or less) description of the activities they show.
If we receive four or more photos from you, we will set up an individual page of your pictures that you can link to!
People should definitely be identified whenever possible.
